FROM REFLECTION TO ACTION
BUILDING TOMORROW TOGETHER
We, the Quinte Cultural Innovation Committee (QCIC), advance Equity and Inclusion through Decolonization. As a non-profit organization, we apply permaculture ethics and principles to decolonize both our internal governance and the connected communities we serve.
QCIC collaborates with individuals from diverse political perspectives—both left and right—to bring polarized people together in mindful, restorative settings. Our goal is to create catalyst moments of healing through truth, leading to restorative justice and reconcili-action. We are grounded in the understanding that we are all human—a singular species. Through these efforts, we aim to harmonize the delicate balance between plants, people, pollinators, and the planet.

skin is
AN ORGAN WE WEAR
ON THE OUTSIDE.

s-k i n for Native, and other Racially Ambiguous Women, is often a site of fetishization. For Black women — the same. An added layer, the same skin also becomes the line of consent for dehumanization; shaped by nuances like colorism and proximity to whiteness. This lingering residue of white supremacy continues to impact all people, including Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour. Understanding the complexity of our skin is the first step toward healing and decolonizing harmful perceptions.
