NGANI (SHARRAE) LYON
Ngani (Sharrae Lyon) is a futurist, conflict resolution and pro-liberation facilitator, writer and multi-disciplinary artist of Xamaycan-descent.
Her film work Delayed Echoes (2018), Gaia’s Awakening (2014), Body as Technology (2015) are bodies of work that explores the intersections of neurodiversity, mental wellness, ancient wisdoms and modern contexts. Her work has taken her to share both in workshop, creative writing and film screenings in Detroit’s Allied Media Conference, Black Artists and Activists Convergence at Dalhousie University, various workshops at University of Toronto, Carleton University and McGill University, the X Space, MTL.

Delayed Echoes, starring Jahlen Barnes is a short narrative film that explores the themes of grief, loss, neurodiversity and the healing power of dreams and the imagination.

HER LEGACY PROJECT ROOTS AND BRANCHES IS A DANCE PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH.
THROUGH ROOTS AND BRANCHES, TAMLA ADVOCATES FOR EQUITABLE ACCESS TO QUALITY ART & CULTURAL EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN.
MAYBE SHE WILL SHOWCASE SOME OF HER ORIGINAL WORK AS A FEATURED ARTIST ON HER NEXT VISIT.
