The Permaculture Club is a leadership club that educators can use to guide learners through organic Literacy, Art, Science, Social Studies, Health, and Numeracy confidence building tasks while transforming Kindergarten and Recess yards into outdoor permaculture classroom.
Inspired by "May Project Gardens" featured on Permaculture Magazine, The Permaculture Club, looks for connections between plants and people using permaculture ethics (3) and principles (12).
PERMACULTURE CLUB
WHAT IS THE PERMACULTURE CLUB?
EDUCATORS AS FACILITATORS ---
The role of all educators facilitating the Permaculture Club is to be present and nurture student leaders to think, act, speak and lead as ethical leaders. "Permaculture Pilots" (students) are welcomed and nurtured by the educator team.
Student leaders co-work with the educator team to grow food, friendships, and in-school entrepreneurships that serve as real-life solutions to real-life needs of your school community. With support from the Quinte Cultural Innovation Committee, you will develop your school's signature Permaculture Club. Your club logo... which crops you grow... how you design your garden plots... how you host the events/assemblies/workshops you choose to edu-tain your school community with will be directed and driven by your Permaculture Club Chapter.
